Introducing our new line of Mad Stanky fermented vegetables. Continuing our habit of scaling up the tasty foods we make at home for ourselves, we are excited to present a few of these stinky concoctions. Named for the fact that Wes asks Paula to leave the house when she eats them due to the intense odor, they apparently taste better than they smell. Scaling up this project is an act of madness. If you think one jar of fermenting radishes will clear a room, you can only imagine what it's like to have 20+ gallons of the stuff going at one time. Thank goodness we have a fume hood.
We do the hard (and smelly) work so you don't have to. Our Mad Stanky vegetables come RAW, meaning they are still alive and full of those excellent pro-biotics and biotics. While these are typically sold in a finished state, we recommend you keep them in the refrigerator to prevent over-fermentation.
Take a look at what we are offering now. We have Mad Stanky Kimchi, Mad Stanky Radish Kimchi, Mad Stanky Red Sauerkraut, and Mad Stanky Salsa in two levels of spiciness. More things are in the fume hood. We look forward to letting you taste samples at the Norman Farmers Market when you stop by.
